士嘉堡區居民排山倒海反對大麻店在區內開設 ,一面倒的反對，卻仍杳無音訊

自三月中旬起，政府鼓勵民眾盡量留在家中，以達致公眾安全(Stay Home, Save Lives)；大麻行業卻在默默無聲，極其隱匿的情況下申請開業？！其申請營業的地方之社區，包括鄰近商戶、校區、民區、不同的教育機構、教會、與及各慈善團體卻是在毫不知情下，在極短時間內（大概兩至三個星期）才獲通知。

現時士嘉堡的情況是三所大麻店已批准營業，二十多所正在申請中。如此情況是在絕大多數社區居民全不知情下進行。這與現時帶領加拿大的杜魯多政府所承諾民眾的是背道而馳的。政府說有方向地、有計劃地開設大麻店是讓黑市的大麻販賣情況能得以控制，只是我們卻看見如此政策下，未見其利，只見其害，讓更多人從黑道白道購買更多大麻來作不同用途。除了吸食的人之身體器官受損、也嚴重影響社區民眾生活與健康。多少的家庭受到破壞之餘，區內槍械增多與黑幫集結，令社區危機四現，情況確實令人擔憂。

雖然士嘉堡區民眾只得三個星期來得知現時情況，卻在這短促時間於網上超過7,000多人反映不滿；義工們冒著今年寒冷的秋季，已獲得1,500多人的簽名反對。

加拿大是個民主的國家，我們懷疑市政府是否已知道社區民眾的憂慮。如若仍不知道，我們下一步的行動便是發動集體大遊行。在疫情持續高企下，我們會保持社交距離，以人鏈方式向政府表達訴求。

WHEREAS Green Bud Inc has applied to the AGCO to obtain a license to open a Cannabis retail store at 63 Silver Star Blvd., Unit C6.

WHEREAS the store mentioned above is located at a close proximity to:

THEREFORE We, the undersigned, petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows:-

TO disallow the opening of Green Bud Inc. at 63 Silver Star Blvd., Unit C6, due to the potential health and safety risk it poses to youth, children, tenants, and seniors. Furthermore, this location is not in the interest of the public.
